Description Of Major Job DutiesIn the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the Personnel Officer is responsible for processing various personnel transactions, including handling the onboarding process, processing new hire, promotional, transfer and appointment certifications, and onboarding documents from candidates. This position is also responsible for handling the Jailer's Training Packets, scheduling physical and or medical drug screens for Officers and new hires, coordinating law enforcement swear in date, monitoring Applicant Pro, assisting with payroll, exit interviews and performing additional duties as assigned.
ELIGIBLE PERSONS At The Time Of Application, Eligible Persons Must Have
Associate's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Business Administration, Personnel Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science or a Closely relate field; AND
Two (2) years of full-time paid experience in a Personnel Office: OR
Five years paid experience in Personnel.
