West Virginia
According to the study, the “Mountain State” a.k.a West Virginia ranks at number two on the list with 3,781 searches.
West Virginia is home to a stunning natural landscape featuring rolling hills, flowing streams, and dense forests. But unfortunately, these picturesque conditions make it pretty easy (and comfortable) for bed bugs to thrive.

Next on the list of the worst states for bed bugs is Missouri. Missouri had 3,585 searches for bed bugs, which is understandable given their hot summers and cold winters, which makes for the perfect climate for bed bugs to thrive.
Kentucky
Last but certainly not least is Kentucky. Like Missouri, Kentucky is home to a climate that’s pretty conducive to bed bugs. And the 3,529 searches for the little critters only further support this fact.
