Allowed Items

Wagons and strollers for small children are allowed. Tasting “Fair food” is a big reason why people visit the State Fair of Texas, but if you have any dietary restrictions or other reasons for wanting to bring your own food or beverages, please do. Coolers and ice chest are allowed but will be searched as you enter the grounds. Please note: Alcohol, glass containers, and metal knives and forks are prohibited.

Directions to the Fair

Located just outside downtown Dallas, the State Fair of Texas takes place each on the grounds of Fair Park. The Fair grounds are easily accessible by car but did you know that you can also use public transportation to arrive directly at the front gate? Click on the link here for for directions and a map.

Plenty of Parking Options

Parking is conviently located around Fair Park at official State Fair of Texas Parking lots. Parking is $20 per space and there are designated locations throughout the lots for disabled parking. Bicycle racks are located inside Gates 5, 6, and 11. Bicycles are not allowed past the pedestrian gates or on the fairgrounds.
