DART makes it easy and affordable to enjoy your day at the fair. Just ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, or MLK, Jr. Station, located south of R.B. Cullum Blvd.

Yes, people are allowed to bring their own food and beverages into the fair. However, metal forks and knives, glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. If you bring a cooler, it will be searched the fairground gates.

Are visitors checked for weapons at the gate? Instead of metal detectors, fair visitors walk through what is known as an “open gate system,” which detects dense metal like knives or guns. The fair doesn't enforce a clear bag policy, but all bags, strollers, coolers and other containers are searched ahead of entry.

Parking is conviently located around Fair Park at official State Fair of Texas Parking lots. Parking is $20 per space and there are designated locations throughout the lots for disabled parking.
