2008: It's a Small World[]

In 2008, Hong Kong Disneyland's version of "it's a small world" opened as the first expansion of Fantasyland. The ride, located next to Storybook Theater and behind the railroad track, is the first of its kind to feature Disney characters. An ice-cream shop is also opened along with the attraction.

2015: 10th Anniversary Celebration "Happily Ever After"[]

A grassland behind Mickey's PhilharMagic and next to Fantasyland Train Station was transformed into Fairy Tale Forest, an interactive walkthrough attraction featuring miniature scenes from five Disney Princesses movies. The garden also contains a new Pixie Hollow, allowing guests to meet and greet Tinker Bell.

The Golden Mickeys, a live musical stage show which has been running since the Park's opening in 2005, was also replaced by the brand new Mickey and the Wondrous Book, as part of the Park's 10th-anniversary celebration.

2020: Redesigned Disney Princesses Castle[]

On November 22, 2016, a multiyear expansion plan for the Park was announced. The iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle will be redesigned and expanded, with a new daytime stage show and nighttime spectacular, opening on November 21, 2020 and the castle renamed as Castle of Magical Dreams, which includes Royal Princess Garden, Enchanted Treasures and redesigned Storybook Shoppe with Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique as the extension of the story of the Castle.
